How to switch Scanner modes?

If you can't find what you need in our built-list of scanners, just switch to Advanced mode. Advanced paintbar editor gives you more flexibility to set the Scan Result or to use your coding skills. This is done by calling the SetScanResult function, passing the simple true parameter, a numeric parameter, or a string.

To enter the Advanced Scanner Editor you have to start with the Simple Scan/Paintbar Editor. Type a basic rule or two, then switch to the Advanced editor by clicking on the “Switch to Advanced mode” button:

A warning dialog window will pop up:

After clicking through the warning dialog window, the scanner will be converted to:

The two scanners are exactly equivalent to each other.
